Year-End Accolades

Below is the list of accomplishments that were announced at the Sprint Concert last night. GO BAND!

·       30 students made All-City Band

·       5 students made All-Region Band

·       Over 90% of our ensembles received first division ratings at AISD S&E

·       Concert Band received straight first division ratings in UIL Sightreading

·       Symphonic Band received straight first division ratings at UIL – both on stage and in sightreading – for the first time since 2006!

·       7^th graders received straight first division ratings at NRH2O on 5/4

·       8^th graders received straight first division ratings at Schlitterbahn on 5/9, AND Best in Class, AND Judge’s Choice

·       71 students received a first division rating on their solo this past Saturday

Schlitterbahn!

The Boles 8th Grade Band trip to Schlitterbahn is on Saturday, May 9th. The packet containing detailed information about the trip goes home with students today, Tuesday, March 3rd. The Trip Commitment Form (not the payment) is due this Friday, the day before Spring Break.

The AISD Ensemble Contest is this Saturday, February 7th at Ferguson JH. Click the links below to obtain more information about the contest.
